PAINT RECYCLING
Since 2002, the Nova Scotia Paint Recycling Program has helped keep paint out of landfills and out of our environment! More than three million containers of paint are purchased every year in Nova Scotia and up to 25% of that paint is never used.
How It Works
Nova Scotians can return leftover paint to any of the province's ENVIRO-DEPOT™ facilities, free of charge. Latex and oil-based paints including aerosols, as well as stains and varnishes are all accepted at these locations. Paint must be tightly sealed in its original container and the original label must be visible.

Interesting Facts
Leftover paint products collected from ENVIRO-DEPOT™ facilities are sorted at a facility in Springhill, Nova Scotia. Once sorted, the paint is shipped to Quebec to be processed into new usable paint that meets industry standards. To learn more about the Paint Recycling Program, visit RRFB Nova Scotia's Website.
